What am I working on?

CURRENT WIP (Work In Progress)

SAM – YA Novel

What if Samson was a black high school track star growing up during the racially charged 1960’s?

In 1967 Nova Scotia a black seventeen-year-old running prodigy fights against the sheriff’s desire to destroy the lives of his people. He must outrun his competitors in order to escape the racist town of Foxtail and show his community that they have more options than the oppression they live under.

  1. This sounds like a very intriguing book, and I can not wait to read it. You have a gift for making the words you write appear as a perfect scene in ones mind. Well done Karen!

  2. Hi Karen!
This is OceanWaves14 from WOC. I didn’t know Parched was a Christian Fantasy! Pretty cool! The premise is really interesting! I’m working on a Christian Fantasy webcomic. : ) You can find most of the info here if you are interested!
